1. The list of events is amazing. What are you looking forward to the most?
The Cosmos Cabaret lounge on the final night. They had me at the opening line of the description, “Picture a grand piano, a handsome singer, and a perfectly mixed cosmo martini…” Sign me up!

2. Where will you be traveling from and who will you be bringing with you?
I’m not traveling at all. I live in Albuquerque so I’m simply driving to the hotel. I’m taking a dear friend and beta reader of mine. She’s coming down from Washington state.

3. If you could ask an attendee from last year one question to help prepare you
for GRL what would it be?
What is the day in the life of GRL attendee like? 

4. This will be my first ever, public appearance and I'm nervous as hell. Is
this your very first public appearance or have you attended other event? If
you've attended other events, what were they like? Were you nervous the first
time?
This is my first public appearance where I’ve actually planned to attend. I went to Yaoi con 2011 but I pre-registered before realizing I could go as an author so I was there as “Hayley” not “Hayley B. James.”

5. I am very quiet when I meet new people (Oh shut up Joel I hear you snickering
from here) Are you outgoing? More reserved?
I’m very shy. I will stutter and say stupid things, I’m sure. But it’s okay. I think people find me more amusing when I open my mouth and silly things roll out.

6. I admit, I'm going to be like a crazy stalker fan of Rick R. Reed. Who are
you looking forward most to meeting?
I have three authors I plan to find: Shira Anthony, Charlie Cochet, and Ana Bosch.

7. No way in hell could I stand up and do a reading? I'd be spitting,
sputtering, and turning 50 shades of RED. Did you sign up to do an author
reading?
I sure didn’t! I’m not very good at public speaking and I certainly couldn’t read any of my own work out loud. How embarrassing. 

8. What do you think readers and other authors will be most surprised by when
they meet you?
My on and off again Minnesotan accent. I don’t know where it comes from or why I have it. It just slips into my speech without warning sometimes.

9. I hear the boys of our genre put on a hell of a party! Do you plan to attend
the Cowboy party Thursday night?
Oh, I’ll be there! 

10. Go ahead you can be honest with me. You want to know what is under Damon
Suede's Kilt don't you?

I have a pretty good idea of what any man has under a kilt. That’s where they keep their flasks. Whiskey all around!
